Aicyng is a 2-time Canadian National Top Ten, Scottsdale Reserve Champion and Numerous Regional Champion, Arabian Halter Stallion with a pedigree for performance. This Brazilian imported stallion has sired numerous champion halter and performance horses including Multi-Regional Arabian English Pleasure and Arabian English Park Horse, Icyneasy out of Ultra Flame (by Bask Flame). Aicying's sire was Aikon, who stood at the premier breeding farm in New York, Dunromin Arabians. Aicying's dam was one of the US Champion Halter Mares, Porcelyn, sired by Bey Shah and out of the National Champion mare, Ga Porta. Bey Shah is the all time US Sire of distinction for siring gorgeous halter candidates. Sheila was looking for a strong mare that would produce athletes to cross on this elegant stallion. She selected Daraska, the dam of the all time leading sire, Desperado V.

52 years of breeding Champions means Sheila Varian knows what she is doing. In 1994 DiamondCrest purchased Daraska, the renowned dam of the Varian Stallion, Desperado V, from Sheila, at the ripe age of 19. Daraska sadly, is now deceased. Daraska's last two daughters are at DiamondCrest Inc.: Jenny MacDall and Proofs lil Darlin by NF Proof+/.

Daraska produced 1996 US TT Hunter Pleasure JR. horse and Region II T5 Western Pleasure Jr. Champ mare prior to making the front page news with her crowing achievement: Desperado V. Desperado V, needs no introduction. He has been the most important producer of halter and performance horses in the United States for over a decade. This horse has sired Racing daughters, Dressage horses, Endurance mounts, Cutting and Reining Champions and stunning using horses. Daraska's sire was * Dar the principal Comet who has sired 11 North American National winners (more than any other foreign sire), considered to be the pinnacle of the performance sire's bred in Poland. Dar's progeny such as Darda, *Gyynia, *Meczet, *Dornaba and Swedish National Champion Stallion Dardir continue through the Arabian Champions today. Daraska's dam, Holly Bask, reinforced the Polish influence through her sire *Bask, the breeds all time leading sire of champions and added a dash of Egyptian blood via her dam, Hayley. Another prolific line of Champions including Canadian National Reserve Champion Mare, Habina- a mare of distinction in the Arabian Horse World.

Daraska is the older full sister to MHR Princess Bask, dam of numerous Show US Champions, including MHR Muscateal, US Reining Champion, Princess Huck V, Western Pleasure, The Pistol V and numerous others. Varian Arabians is still producing this line of horses-just open the Arabian Horse World Magazine, on any given month, and read about their achievements. Sheila stated "Daraska was the closest mare to Bask in her appearance, without going directly to his daughters."

Daraska was not a big mare, 14.3hands when she stood straight, however, this gal had scope and the most beautiful eye and large nostrils one could envision. She had a long, lovely neck, good shoulder with perfect legs and bone. Dark wavy black mane and tail rounded out the stunning impression. When she trotted out, thick wavy black tail flagging, a show stopping arched neck, she looked like she was a 15-hand horse. She just grew in presence. That was the kind of mare she was.
